And the ‘Too Soon’ Award Goes to: Lolita’s Taco Shop
We Mexicans have a unique brand of humor (we have a colorful holiday dedicated to death, for Chrissake), but to the untrained eye it can sometimes come off as crass and insensitive.
Apparently, it can come off as delicious as well as witnessed during a recent trip to Lolita’s Taco Shop in Bonita, CA.
Making your way in to the popular eatery, you’ll notice a huge message scrolled on one of their walls reading “Patience is the essence of fine Mexican food,” but when it came to marketing their latest menu addition, the Tsunami Burrito, it seems like they jumped the gun.
A Surf ‘n Turf creation that consists of a flour tortilla stuffed with carne asada and shrimp, according to an employee the burro has been one of their hottest sellers for the last 7+ weeks (you do the math).
The $6.25 pricetag also includes a healthy ration of Jack cheese, cabbage and pico de gallo sauce.
